Alternate altitudes and admire multiple, highly contrasted natural wonders
Ecuador does of course have a pre-Columbian history worthy of interest, as well as colonial cities with undeniable charm, such as Quito or Cuenca, but it has other unsuspected treasures. Imagine that in a few hundred kilometres you can pass from the Amazonian forest to the Pacific coast at the foot of the mythical Cotopaxi volcano and its almost 6,000 metres high! And we haven’t talked about the Galapagos Islands yet… Did you say treasures?Coups de coeur

Barefoot on the peat bogs and white sand
A very big thank you to Emmanuel and George who understood my request, and produced a two-week tailor-made trip with finesse, efficiency, creativity and skill in the Scottish Hebrides, combining train, ferry and bus but without the need to fly. I felt completely safe with the personalized and precise logbook that I received to accompany me on this trip.
The daily routes were carefully chosen, and the rhythm of the overnight stops was well matched. I was also always welcome in the picturesque and family guest-houses and bed-and-breakfasts booked for me.
Add to that the blue sky turquoise sea! Colours of a painting with the mauve of the hills.
I was able to walk barefoot for hours on the peat bogs and white sand, while in Switzerland there would have been the «bise» and cold.
It was a wonderful holiday.
All my gratitude.
