Ecuador does of course have a pre-Columbian history worthy of interest, as well as colonial cities with undeniable charm, such as Quito or Cuenca, but it has other unsuspected treasures. Imagine that in a few hundred kilometres you can pass from the Amazonian forest to the Pacific coast at the foot of the mythical Cotopaxi volcano and its almost 6,000 metres high! And we haven’t talked about the Galapagos Islands yet… Did you say treasures?

In December 2019, we spent three weeks in Ecuador, carefully organized by A Taste of Travel. A very diversified and magnificent trip, from the Amazonian forest to the volcanoes of 6’000 m, through beautiful lagoons, colorful markets, and several very comfortable accommodations in spectacular historical haciendas.
