Mysterious El Hierro, in the Canaries

We found El Hierro a few years ago; it remains almost completely off the tourist routes and is a small natural jewel. We returned with a programme of walks guided by a lover of his island. A minimum of eight days, or perhaps more, will allow you to discover the different ecosystems of this volcanic rock which rises to more than 1,000 metres.
The Ancients saw this as the last land before one sailed off the face of the Earth. It is in fact a place of superb resources with the ever present revitalising energy of its genesis as a volcano. The strong traditions of its inhabitants did not prevent them from seeking to become autonomous in renewable energy long before the other places in Europe.
In El Hierro, tradition rhymes with respect for nature and man. It is a place to be discovered quickly.
