Ride along the mythical Irrawaddy, the same one that has seen wave upon wave of peoples descend from Tibet for over 2000 years. Hike on the hills of the Shan plateau to meet many ethnic Buddhist, Catholic, Protestant, or animist groups. Walk from temples to monasteries in the effervescent Yangon. Take the road to Mandalay… Whether your interest lies in visiting cultural and historical sites, encounters with ethnic groups, the remarkable natural sites such as Inle Lake and its stilted villages and floating gardens, or a few days on beautiful beaches, Myanmar has much to offer you.

Back from this fascinating country, we would like to invite you and share with you our travel experience, our discoveries, our impressions, our fears and our hopes for this country which begins to open up.

Biography of George Sandford & Emmanuel Samatani

Both graduate biologists, A Taste of Travel is a synthesis of both their life and professional experiences. We try to find workable solutions for the unfair globalized tourism format that we have at present. Another goal is to give real world experiences that are worth saving for the future.
