Biography of Oktyabri et Christian Couchet

Oktyabri Couchet - Oktyabri is Russian for October (the October revolution that took place in November...) - was born in a village named Gurvan Bulag (three springs) in Mongolia. Ogy spent her youth in the countryside. She then went to college and university, where she read French, in Ulan Bator and then spent three years in England. On returning to Mongolia she became a guide, eventually becoming responsible for the Mongolian operations of a French tour company. Ogy is passionate about vacations, particularly in her birthplace. Ogy helps travellers to discover and to get to know a destination that many dream about. Ogy’s passions are her children, holidays and the cuisine of the world.

Christian, Georges, Hubert Couchet was born in Lausanne. He spent his early years in the Cameroun. He then finished his schooling in Switzerland. His training as a chef allowed him to travel to Canada, Spain, Italy etc. For 15 years he followed his passion crossing the globe fly-fishing. Christian works with Ogy in organising trips to Mongolia and occasionally accompanies them.
