A Caribbean dream — the West Indies has all the elements of a tropical holiday — the gentle turquoise sea, the sailing and beaches, the warmth and the music. Year after year, these incredible islands and attract many sailors and holiday-makers but they hardly put see these beautiful islands. The tiny string of pearls that is the Grenadines, Mount Pelée in Martinique, the Pitons of St. Lucia, the steaming Soufrière in the north of St. Vincent, and the rainforest of Trinidad & Tobago, in all these islands there are stunning trails that are waiting to be explored. A Taste of Travel presents the Windward Islands in the south of the Caribbean chain from a different perspective — something away from the cruiseboats and all inclusives that seem to characterise these islands recently.

In addition, for the week of 18th to 22nd September we will present a Caribbean lunch of «Bake & Buljol» (Buljol is the Caribbean patois for “burnt mouth”) — a favourite recipe of salted cod, tomatoes, sweet peppers, onion, and hot Caribbean pepper (toned down for us here!) accompanied by a small salad and Caribbean bread.

Biography of George Sandford & Emmanuel Samatani

A Swiss and a Brit (born & raised in the Caribbean), who live on the north shore of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. We know and love the mountains of this stunning country and would love to share our experiences with those who would like to join us on our return visits to places that have "wow-ed" us in the past.
George worked in tour operation (Kuoni) and airlines in the UK, the Middle East and the Caribbean — he is a graduate in Applied Zoology and has an MBA. He returned to Europe to realise a dream of giving the sustainable tourism experience to the traveller.
Emmanuel began his career as a molecular biologist then completely changed course to work in the performing arts. Now he is using his intimate knowledge and passion for the Alps. He has completed the Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt, the Mineraltour, and this year a Glacier trek across the Oberland.
